After a good day's worth of rain, the already marshy ground around the lakes became a swamp. The bears are massive - up to about 800lbs - but they still manage to get around on the boggy ground. This is Brutus having a bit of a gallop for no particular reason that I could see!
The aurora put in some weak appearances during my visit. Harry Reed was very keen on telling all of us when good northern light activity was predicted - using the KP scale - thanks Harry! (From hide 1)
September 3rd was my final night on this visit and I spent it in hide 7 - a forest hide. Brutus paid me two visits and Yogi came once. I was also entertained by two jays and two wolverine.
