White Tailed Sea Eagles
Mull is famous for these magnificent birds and home to many breeding pairs. I helped (in a very small way!) in the reintroduction of these birds to the UK in the 1980s.
I'd spotted this pair - at long range - the day before and decided to walk to their approximate location the following day. Unfortunately, it was wet and misty and I was soon stumbling around in the mist.
Then the mist rose and, behind me in a tree, I spotted these birds. They also spotted me at about the same time! I managed to get a few shots before they flew off to find some privacy.
